Maddysonofagun delivers in Local Biz Night Race at Grand River Raceway

ELORA, ON — Grand River Raceway kicked off its 2014 season on June 2 and the night was highlighted by Maddysonofagun in the fifth annual Local Biz Night Race.

The popular event saw more than 120 people from 21 local businesses paired with a horse in race nine. Horizon Furniture scored its third consecutive Local Biz Night trophy, and shared last night’s triumph with Bensol Consulting Inc. and Beyond Rewards Inc. The three businesses received a trophy to display in their workplace and an equal share of a staff party for 20 at Grand River Raceway.

The one-and-a-half length victory in 1:56.1 granted Maddysonofagun his first season win and ninth lifetime. The homebred 3-1 shot is trained by Larry Ainsworth and co-owned with Shelley Ainsworth and Martwest Racing Stable

Local Biz Night is a joint-effort between the raceway, the OLG Slots at Grand River Raceway and the Centre Wellington Chamber Of Commerce.
