Battle of the Belles

The Battle Of The Belles is Grand River Raceway’s companion race to its signature dash, (the Battle Of Waterloo), and is showcased during Industry Day. The $92,800 race is for Ontario-sired two-year-old pacing fillies.

The Battle Of The Belles was raced for the first time in 2009, when it was won by FBS Terror for trainer Mario Macri and driver Scott Zeron, who was just 19 at the time.

• Eliminations are contested on July 31, 2017.

• Top 9 finishers from the elims advance to the $120,000 (E) Final on Industry Day (Aug. 7).

Battle of Waterloo

The Battle Of Waterloo is Grand River Raceway’s signature race and is showcased during Industry Day by Ontario-sired two-year-old pacing colts.

The Battle of Waterloo was raced annually at Elmira Raceway from 1998 through 2003. In 2004, the race debuted at its new home at Grand River Raceway in Elora.
